Thanks to the TDMA method, DMR radios make it possible to double the channel capacity of conventional analogue radio, giving you two channels for each frequency issued by Ofcom.
Mixed analogue and digital capability ensure that the PD400 series radios can detect both analogue and digital signals and change automatically to the relevant operating mode. The Hytera PD405 digital radios are dust and water-resistant according to IP55 (PD405) meaning that they are protected against water ingress.
