With embedded digital technology, the PD700 series of digital radios produce outstanding voice quality, even in the noisiest of environments, and at the outer perimeters of radio coverage. Thanks to the digital technology used within these radios it is now possible to double the channel capacity when compared with a conventional analogue radio, giving you two channels for each frequency issued by Ofcom.
The radios in the PD700 series offer both an analogue and a digital mode and are fully compatible with analogue radio communication systems, which means that migration to digital is made simple with this series of radios. Along with conventional DMR, the radios also support analogue trunked radio as per MPT1327 and DMR trunked radio. In addition, they can be used in Hytera XPT and simulcast systems.
