Multi-Site Radio System for Gyron Internet

Gyron Internet contacted Radio Links to help them improve their current communications across their five state of-the-art data centre facilities in Hemel Hempstead and Slough.

While discussing what they required we were advised that they wanted to achieve greater coverage and better audio quality at each site and they also wanted to be able to use two-way radios to communicate between their three Hemel Hempstead locations and the two Slough sites, rather than provide all of their staff with cellular phones. Taking all of this into consideration we recommended that they upgrade to new Motorola digital radio to immediately improve their radio coverage and audio quality. Gyron took this on board and invested in new Motorola DP4600 handportable radios.

We then wanted to provide Gyron with the ability to use their new Motorola radios to communicate between their geographically remote sites, and recommended the installation of a Motorola Linked Capacity Plus radio system, utilising Motorola SLR5500 repeaters at each of the five sites. These repeaters when linked by the clients own IT infrastructure, formed a radio network that enabled us to provide Gyron with cross-site communications between their new Motorola DP4600 two-way radios being used at Hemel Hempstead and Slough.

And as Gyron Internet continues to expand, their radio system has been future-proofed so that it can expand with them by the simple addition of a repeater base station at any new location.
