With an IP67standard rating, this digital radio was built to last with everyday use in dusty and wet environments, such as construction sites. The high capacity 2600mAH Li-Ion battery provides an extended 24 hours battery life in Battery Saver mode. Weighing 308g, and measuring 127 x 57 x 32mm, this radio handset is compact and easy to carry without proving a hindrance.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
This digital two-way radio has many standard features suitable for health and safety coordination, including an Emergency Alarm button – which can issue a network-wide alert with a single touch. The Lone Worker alarm will be triggered if users fail to check in with the network at fixed intervals, and the optional Man Down feature will issue an automatic alert if an unusual movement such as a fall is detected.
Users can create up to 10,000 call groups on selected channels, rather than having to broadcast to the whole network. With 256 available channels and direct one-to-one private calling is standard and optional features include digital voice recording/play, Bluetooth and GPS.
All radio communications are encrypted as standard, to maintain privacy even if the call frequency is being picked up by external devices. The Remote Kill function can be used to disabled the radio if lost.
SYSTEMS SUPPORTED
Lugra two-way radio handsets support both direct mode operation (DMO) and trunked mode operation (TMO).
DMO is an easy, convenient and cost-effective way to use two way radios as the handsets communicate directly with one another, without the need for any other equipment. TMO provides a better quality of coverage over a wider area (both indoor and outdoor) by using ancillary equipment such as antennas and repeaters.
This radio works on both VHF and UHF frequencies and is suitable for a noisy environment whether indoors or outdoors. VHF offers better signal range in open spaces where there are few obstacles, while higher frequency UHF radio is better indoors and in built-up areas as the signals can pass through walls and objects with less interference.
